Background
Established in 1984 as the Information and Communication Technology Committee. Current name adopted in 1993.
Responsibilities
The Committee on Computing keeps the membership informed of technological innovations in communications and linguistics-related computer hardware and software and considers the role of the Society in promulgating standards for transmission codes.
