Approves appointments to the various committees as recommended by the Committee on Committee and Delegate Appointments. Determines the time and place of the Annual Meeting of the Society. May call special meetings of the Society. Nominates the Secretary-Treasurer, the Editor, and six persons for vacant positions on the Nominating Committee. Names an investment counselor. Appoints the Associate Editors of Language, in consultation with the Editor.
MembershipThe Nominating Committee nominates two people for each vacant position on the Executive Committee. The President of the Society serves as the Chair.

LSA SECRETARIAT
The Secretariat is the administrative center for the Society and is open 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We are located in the Archibald A. Hill Suite, 1325 18th St., NW, Suite 211, Washington, DC 20036. The federal holiday schedule for the Washington, DC metropolitan area is observed.
