Donate to the LSA

Historically, contributions from LSA members have made it possible to support a wide range of activities designed to promote the discipline of linguistics and to assist linguists – especially student members – in the exercise of their profession. These donations have funded various committee-based projects that include educational initiatives geared towards primary and secondary schools, general educational and lobbying efforts, and membership assistance to linguists and libraries from countries experiencing extreme economic hardship. Recently, gifts have allowed us to design and develop a new website, purchase new computer equipment for the Secretariat, and endow the newly established Ken Hale Professorship for Field Methods at the Linguistic Institutes.

We thank all the individuals who have contributed throughout the year and acknowledge your gifts formally at our "Supporters" page. To make a (tax-deductible) contribution now, please click here.

The Linguistic Society is a non-profit organization exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The LSA Federal Identification Number is 74-604-3371. As a non-profit organization, the LSA may qualify for corporate donation-matching programs.
